Presidential Debate

The debate, the big topic for the last 18 or so hours. I personally watched, only an hour of the debate  because I became so irritated in the entire discussion. I typically don't watch the debates, but rather I prefer to do a majority of my political research online by reading articles and doing fact checks. I reaffirmed to myself why I do not watch the debates...they don't stick to the rules!

It started off fine, they both gave their fake smiles and handshakes. Then, they started the questions, and everything went down hill from their. First off, I feel like a lot of the questions were not even answered by the time each candidate was done speaking. It seemed that they "danced" around each one, but never actually gave an answer to the question that was asked, even after Candy tried redirecting them. Secondly, I could not stand the amount of times that they went over their two-minute time limit for each questions. There are plenty of ways to get your point across, and I feel like both were very vague and just rambled on for a majority of the time and most of those times were over the limit. The third and final thing that bothered me was the amount of interrupting that took place, and how each of them completely ignored Candy when she tried to break it up. Mitt Romney started the interrupting the first time, but then sure enough Obama followed suit and pretty soon they were taking over one another and it made the whole thing useless. If no one can understand what you are saying, then why say it? Give the other person enough respect to allow them to finish their sentence or thought before you rebuttal. That is the end of my political rant.
